Continued from Thailand – Laos Travel: Day 15 – Bangkok We’re Coming Again & Hotel In Lat Krabang. For pre-travel, please refer here.
Exactly at 4.00 am, we all woke up in preparation to return to Malaysia. Due to the distance from the hotel to Suvarnabhumi international airport being only 5 minutes by taxi, this morning is not as rushed as the previous days.
The hotel receptionist helped us to get a taxi service outside the hotel. Taxi fare this morning is charged THB120 for a distance of 4.0 km. Just wait outside for 5 minutes and the taxi arrives. Not very difficult.
This was the first time our family set foot at Suvarnabhumi airport. Excited because previously often saw pictures from FB friends who traveled to Bangkok.
Very beautiful interiors and it represents Thai art and culture.
As Tatie and Aqif went to the toilet, I enjoyed the interior view of this departure area.
Stepping from end to end and I felt the distance was almost 300 meters long.
At 6.15 am, we entered the MAS cabin.
And 15 minutes later, our plane took off. Goodbye Thailand! Your country is the best!
MAS planes as usual will serve free meals.
On January 17, 2017, ended our rugged adventure as a family through overland from Kuala Lumpur to Padang Besar, Hatyai, Prachuap Khiri Khan, Maeklong Railway Station, Nakhon Pathom, Kanchanaburi, Bangkok, Lopburi, Ayutthaya, Nong Khai, Vientiane (Laos) and finally back to Bangkok for 16 days.
Alhamdulillah, our journey was smooth and safe. For minor problems, that is common and nothing is 100% perfect.
Our flight duration was 2 hours. At 10.00 am, we landed at KLIA. It’s been a long time since I set foot here because I often go to KLIA2 airport (or formerly called LCCT). At this point, Aqif still did not understand about the plane, the feeling of excitement of getting into the plane and flying. And this is also Aqif’s first flight. The funny thing is, his first flight was not a flight from Malaysia to abroad, but the other way around. Your life history will be unique, my son.
At first, I thought it might be necessary to go to KLIA2 first to get a bus. Apparently, you can also take the bus to the TBS Terminal from KLIA.
The inside of this air-conditioned cafe was quite crowded with customers who were newly landed passengers, so we sat outside.
And the story of our Thailand-Laos travelogue journey that was successfully completed for almost 3 years is over! I took time to write as I don’t like to write halfway or like to be procrastinated. Writing little by little will eventually be complete as well. For the loyal visitors of our blog, greetings of love from our family for you.
Hopefully, this travel blog will be an inspiration for parents who want to be family backpackers. All the costs involved I will share in the next entry which is a summary of overland travel expenses from Thailand to Laos.
Psst … did you know? Last September 2019, the latest blog post should be written as rugged travel to London, Paris, Brussels, Belgium, Amsterdam, Hamburg, Berlin, Gdansk, Warsaw, Krakow, Budapest, Bratislava, Vienna, Prague, Salzburg, Munich, Innsbruck, Zurich, Interlaken, Lauterbrunnen, Jungfrau and Geneva for 2 months.
Unfortunately, our costs are not enough! For those who travel alone, you can do it because it costs only MYR6000 for two months. For us who travel as a family, the cost can reach 7 times the cost for a single traveler! Pray that we can pay off the debts in advance, have a sufficient amount of funds to go there and then write a very detailed blog of travel and guide to Europe for you.
Notes: This last blog post was written on the 48th day of the Movement Control Order (MCO) Phase 4 to curb the spread of the Covid-19 virus. We are required to stay at home and could not cross states and country borders. In 2020, more and more people are not traveling anywhere because of Covid-19. Congratulations to all of us, haha!
