Continued from Thailand – Laos Travel: Day 8 – Part 4 – Ministry of Defense & Royal Thai Survey Department. For pre-travel, please refer here.
If you are diligent, from The Grand Palace, you can walk 4.5km to get here. Hello Kitty House is located in Siam Square One Shopping Mall. Because we want to save energy to allow it to be used for travel from day to night, we plan to take a taxi with a fare cost of THB150. Quite expensive and about MYR17 for a journey of only 4.5km. Probably because we’re excited and can’t wait to see Hello Kitty.
For your information, Hello Kitty House is only available in Bangkok for the Southeast Asian region.
The taxi dropped us 150 meters from the premises we wanted to go to because if we went inside, we had to pay for the car park. So we stepped on the side of the road while I looked at the GPS on my cell phone. It’s a bit confusing because the GPS position briefly rotates 180 degrees, then it rotates back to its original position. I had to refer to the names of the buildings surrounding here as a marker.
Meanwhile, I also noticed the alleys here that lead somewhere but there are many school (or college) students here. At the end of it, there are many rows of small shops with the same concept as in Pertama Complex, Kuala Lumpur.
The area around here is actually a paradise for shoppers due to the location of various shopping malls nearby. More or less the same as in Bukit Bintang where there is Berjaya Times Square, Sg Wang Plaza up to the Pavilion.
But our purpose here is just Hello Kitty House.
We continued walking along the road here and 50 meters ahead (left), will meet Hello Kitty House.
That’s Hello Kitty House! Tatie was excited to enter. But we took pictures first on the outside before going inside.
Just think of this blog post as a mini-tour into Hello Kitty House … Entrance is FREE.
Once inside, we were presented with a Hello Kitty-themed restaurant/cafe.
The concept is the same as other cafes that serve cakes, cupcakes, biscuits, blended ice and many more.
After the entrance, on the right side, there is another lounge with tables and chairs to hang out. There is also a Hello Kitty car to take pictures with as much as you want.
I try to explain as best I can because as a man, I don’t know much about Hello Kitty. To compose a writing sentence so that this place looks cute is kind of difficult for me, hahaha.
Here, you can take as many pictures as possible. Let’s go to the 1st floor.
The stairs are shaped like a U. So while turning in the middle of the U, I took a picture of the cafe below.
Right next to the lower stairs, we were served a shelf of Hello Kitty items consisting of small bags, pillows, hats, figurines and more. I think this is just a sample for display. If you want to buy, you can request from them.
Female bloggers will probably say “so cute!”. I want to say the same … hahaha.
Ok, let’s go up. It seems that more and more items are on display.
The last corner of the stairs goes up to the 1st floor. At the end of it, there are only dining tables.
Hello Kitty Cafe. But this floor is empty. Might be used to hold for a birthday party or a special occasion.
That’s it … the Hello Kitty couple has been together since the beginning. At this point, there are only a few days before Christmas. So, here is full of replicas for gift boxes and Christmas trees. You can also just sit in that chair while taking pictures of hugging or various actions. Don’t worry, on the 1st floor, there’s nobody here and no one will reprimand. But keep your action simple.
I feel it is very appropriate to hold a function here with a capacity of 80 guests. The chair is in the shape of Hello Kitty and also the same design for the tabletop.
Ok, the sofa here is very pretty to take pictures of because there is a Hello Kitty ribbon on the chair. The color is pink.
Overall decoration on this 1st level.
This is the ‘father’ of Hello Kitty. Hehehe.
It’s fun. Ok guys, don’t forget to take a picture here because the signboard says “Bangkok”. That’s the value of being here.
This is the display rack located near the top stairs.
I don’t know much. But I guess, everything in that jar is candy.
Before going down the stairs, don’t forget to check out this section because there are more items on display. This is a Hello Kitty statue with a large medium scale.
As no one could help to take our pictures as a whole family, so we just took pictures of each of us on this couch.
Let’s go down …
We went back to the downstairs shelf. For the second shelf, I’m not sure what’s in the box. Maybe pictures of Hello Kitty in the form of cards?
Hello Kitty mini cart …
I thought this place was only one floor upstairs, but there is also a ground floor. There are many more items for sale there.
Once you go down, don’t forget to look at the side of the stairs because there is space to take pictures here.
Ok starting from the pictures above and below, everything is for sale and not an exhibition.
There are all kinds. Hello Kitty sewing machine is also available …
Wow! There’s a Hello Kitty car. An old version of the Volkswagen Beetle car. But only half the body. The color is pink with attractive white seats.
Pon Pon!!!
If there are a lot of people here, you have to wait in line to get in and take pictures with the car. It’s best to take the side so that you can see the writing on the car door that says “Hello Kitty House Bangkok” as a memory.
If I’m not mistaken, there is also a manicure, maybe the sticker affixed to the nails is Hello Kitty.
And this ground floor is also called “Hello Kitty House Shop”. On the right, there is an exit that I’m not sure where it leads.
Before going back up to the ground floor, I snapped as many pictures as possible of the items sold here.
Ok, this is beautiful. The original Hello Kitty watch.
The Hello Kitty phenomenon is so famous all over the world. I still remember the first introduction by Mcdonald’s Malaysia. Many lined up to buy it. Now, various brands have joint ventures with the Hello Kitty brand and among them is the Brother sewing machine.
Heading to the entrance floor.
I looked at the cakes being sold more closely but didn’t buy anything because I wasn’t sure if it was halal or not.
That’s all the Hello Kitty House mini-tour from us. If you come here and have a lot of budgets, try hanging out here for a drink. After all, we don’t know yet when we will return here.
Short videos in this place.
Next, we explored Siam Square One and Siam Paragon.
