Thailand – Laos: Day 8 – Part 6 – Siam Square One & Siam Paragon, Bangkok

This is the scene on the right which is the road we arrived at earlier.

This is the left side. That is, we were in front of the entrance of Siam Square One after exiting Hello Kitty House.

Cats … not sure if the building is related to Hello Kitty House or not.

I want to tell you a little bit about Siam Square One. The construction is a bit strange because the floor is sloping 5 degrees like going up a hill. For every 1-2 meters there is a mini hump that acts as a special bumper for those carrying a baby stroller or shopping trolley. Even with a bumper or not, in my opinion, it seems impractical even though it is acknowledged that there is an element of attraction.

The climb ends here. We just passed in the middle without going up to the other floor. From a distance, a polar bear was seen standing. I just noticed there was a tree decoration that seemed to be shaped like an ‘Ewoks’ house in the Star Wars movie, Return of the Jedi in the 80s.

Most passers-by here usually intend to cross towards the outside of Siam Square One (facing Hello Kitty) or head to Siam Paragon, Siam Center or Siam Discovery.

A group of polar bear cubs. I think this bear is just a temporary decoration because it is still in the Christmas mood. And when it’s your turn to come here, it might not be here anymore.

For fans of anime and games that we always see in Android app ads, probably know.

As I said, it’s still in the Christmas mood.

For your information, Siam Square One and Siam Paragon are located next to each other in less than 100 meters. Just across the street. I forgot whether we went through a special bridge or continued to cross the road to get here.

Like the sculptures found in the movie Alice in Wonderland.

It is very easy to get here by MRT. But I forgot to take a picture with La La Land written on it. It is a promotion for the movie La La Land.

The atmosphere inside of Siam Paragon. We are not interested in going deeper because our preferences are more attached to the night market that sells various types of goods at cheap prices. The interior space is quite large and multi-story.

In fact, in Siam Paragon, we set foot here as a sign of having arrived here. First, because it is an important and famous landmark and second, because both my parents arrived here in 2012 overland by taking a sightseeing bus from Bukit Kayu Hitam (in Kedah, Malaysia) up to the Cambodian border.

Three white animals stuck out their tongues in front. While here, I was warned by the security guard not to approach the fountain. Well, I agree because it’s for our good too. Otherwise, our clothes will suddenly get soaked.

Entrance to Siam Paragon. At first, I thought that this door was not the main entrance. When I checked back in Google Maps, it turned out that this was the main entrance. What’s more, the square in front of this entrance is located facing Siam Center and not the main road like Pavilion and Lot 10 in Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur. This square is counted as the 1st floor and there is also an entrance on the ground floor that faces the main road, but it is not as important compared to the entrance that faces this square. And from the main road, you will not be able to see this square.

We have arrived here. After this, we will enter the building next to it, namely Siam Center and Siam Discovery.
